SITES REFERENCED IN THE PRESENTATION:

  • Google NotebookLM — Create your own AI databases for yourself, students, or your school. The site helps one create summaries, FAQs, and study guides based on the content you choose. Users may interact with the content using real language. This site also allows you to generate a podcast-styled voice content based on the notebook that was created. This service is an example of the power of smaller AI language models.
  • Common AI large language model services:
    • ChatGPT — The OpenAI service that initiated the AI era.
    • Google Gemini
    • Microsoft Copilot — NOTE: Many images for the presentations were generated using this service.
    • Perplexity — This appears to be a good option for academic research as it provides links for its sources when sharing results.
    • Claude — A full-service AI tool that excels as an editing assistant.
  • Kahnmigo — AI assistant for students
  • Brisk — AI teaching and writing evaluation assistant
  • Flint — AI for personalized learning
  • Sora — Text-to-video tool in development from OpenAI. Here is the video of examples referenced in the presentation.
