This morning I would like to point you to the leadership blog of Don Christian, who is the head of Concordia University Texas. I have known Don for a number of years and we not only share the bond of affection for the Chicago Cubs but also for ministry and Lutheran schools.
Don typically posts once a week and supports leaders of all kinds in sorting through leadership issues for their organizations, helping them apply solutions from a Christian world view. Lutheran school leaders as well as those leaders in secular organizations will find his thoughts to be very helpful.
His post today looks at the best ways to go about helping a staff member leave well — a topic that we don’t always like to think about but is certainly a necessary one. Through the year he reviews many other leadership practices, including visioning, self-reflection, and practical leadership.
Below is the link to his ongoing blog. I encourage each of you to check it out.
